Latin American Art: Classic to Contemporary

January through March, 2009

Heather James Fine Art is pleased to present works of art encompassing the many perspectives of the regions of Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean that emphasize the diversity of their artists and art movements.

The exhibition, representing a breadth of expression from the historical to the new, will celebrate a selection of Latin American artists from Chilean abstractionist, Roberto Matta, to Puerto Rican post-Impressionist, Arnaldo Roche-Rabell. Utilizing a wide variety of techniques and inspired by many traditions, other artists include Fernando Botero, Osvaldo Budet, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Wilfredo Lam, Cristina Lei Rodriguez, Carlos Luna and Melvin Martinez.
