Two Crosses d'Alexander Calder est une œuvre sur papier saisissante, mêlant aquarelle transparente et gouache, qui met en valeur son répertoire de formes et de symboles. En son centre se trouve un grand "X" noir sur un lavis fluide et grisâtre, et à proximité, une croix noire opaque plus petite chevauchant une boule rouge semi-opaque, et à sa gauche, une tache de lavis transparente et arrondie accueillant un croissant noir.
