Frederic Remingtonについて
Frederic Remington was a painter and sculptor who was known for his realistic portrayal of the American West. His paintings and illustrations often appeared in popular magazines, such as Scribner’s and Harper’s Weekly. He was well-traveled, and depicted life on the plains quite accurately, illustrating Native Americans, horses, cowboys, and soldiers. He was also a war correspondent during the Spanish-American War, using his ability to capture action-filled images in great detail to report the happenings of the war. The first of his well-known bronze sculptures was created in 1895, titled The Broncho Buster. The Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg, New York, is dedicated to sharing his works, keeping a collection of his important paintings and sculptures.
