30 Years of Learning, Exploring, and Discovering Art

1996

Heather James Fine Art & Antiquities opened its doors at its original gallery location in Palm Desert, California. For many years, husband-and-wife founders Jim Carona and Heather Sacre diligently built the gallery and our network of relationships.

2008

Heather James Fine Art moved locations and our current 8,500-square-foot gallery in Palm Desert, California, opened to the public.

For the gallery's first exhibit, Jim and Heather turned to L.A.-based curator Chip Tom, who at that time had over 20 years experience curating museum exhibitions globally. Today, he is our Senior Curator and Director of Museum Relations.

2010

Heather James Jackson Hole opened its doors in April, bringing exceptional artworks and services to the Intermountain West and catering to the community that makes Jackson Hole a unique destination for American culture.

Senior Vice Presidents Andrea Rico Dahlin and Sarah Fiscel joined our Jackson Hole gallery in 2015, and they continue to lead it today.

2018

Throughout the 2010s, Heather James deepened its curatorial program and client relationships, and expanded eastward, opening a consultancy in New York. Marking the occasion, we presented De Kooning X De Kooning, an exhibition of paintings and works on paper by Elaine and Willem de Kooning, leading figures of New York Abstract Expressionism.

Today, our New York presence is overseen by Julia Jackson, Senior Vice President.
